Ruth Ogunribido (she/her) is majoring in Political Science while pursuing a certificate in Human Rights. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she loves performing, so you can often find her around campus dancing with Yale’s Afrofusion dance team, Dzana, singing as a tenor with the Yale Gospel Choir, or performing in a small theater production. Outside of the performing arts, Ruth has been actively involved in the Yale African Students Association (YASA), where she has served as Co-Vice President, and is also an active member of the Yale Nigerian Students Association and the Yale Black Women’s Coalition (YBWC).
During her time at Yale, Ruth has worked as an office assistant at the Yale Law School while also interning at a civil rights and criminal defense law firm in New Haven. In her free time, she enjoys catching up on Pop the Balloon episodes, spending time with friends, and searching for the café with the best matcha. Ruth is so excited to welcome the Class of 2030 to the Pierson family and can’t wait to meet you all in August! :)
