Rena Kawasaki (she/her) is an international student from Osaka, Japan, coming to Yale was the first time she has ever lived abroad!!
She is a Pre-law student double majoring in Art (Painting and Printmaking concentration) and Cognitive Science (as you can tell she is very indecisive) who conducts research on developmental psychology as a research assistant for the Computational Social Cognition Lab (otherwise called the Octopus lab!), Alzheimer’s Research Development Unit at the Med School, and in the Macmillan Center for Professor Charles McClean.
She is a proud board member of Yale’s premier hip hop dance team Rhythmic Blue and has participated in over 15 theater projects on campus as a director, stage manager, choreographer and actor. She also works as a graphic designer for the Macmillan Center and the CCAM.
In her free time you will see her making hojicha lattes in the dining hall, performatively listening to music on her wired headphones, or relaxing on the bean bag in her common room with her friends.
Pierson College is undeniably the best college and she is so excited that you are its newest member!
