Although I spend most of my time in the dazzling northeast these days, my heart still remains in the South. I am originally from good ole Hot Springs, Arkansas (fun fact, it serves as a national park as well!). I am an American Studies major with a concentration in Politics and American Communities. Outside of the classroom, I am a proud member of the Prestigious Pi Alpha chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., helping to host amazing events with the Yale Black Women’s Coalition, and lighting it up on the dance floor with Yale Steppin’ Out and Sabrosura. I have also been able to do fantastic work with several cool spaces on campus, including the Afro-American Cultural Center and Beinecke Library. I am extremely passionate about social justice and progress work for my home state of Arkansas and have been so fortunate to go back for my summers in college to help organize and advocate for pressing conditions that Arkansans face!
I am over the moon to welcome the class of 2029 to Yale and the beautiful community of Pierson college!
